I can barely open my left eye, let alone see anything with it, and life sucks, but there is something I can squee about: Piwi-chan (aka asterie) has translated my ficlet A Fitting Body into French! You can read it on ff.net, Le Monde du Slash, or on HPFanfiction. I'm very flattered, and thankful to Piwi-chan.

Because I was given a permanent account on IJ, I caved in and backed-up my LJ there. Here it is, Ptyx on IJ. But I haven't rebuilt all the filters yet, so if you can read a post on LJ but not on IJ, it's because of that. Or because you haven't friended me on IJ! ;-)
The results of my poll indicate that LJ and IJ will be my journals. Remember: I can't post dangerous content on LJ, so the only journal I will post everything is IJ. I will probably x-post to GJ, too, but I will not read on GJ. If you're going to post just on GJ and/or JF, please leave me a comment, so that I can decide how to read your posts!

12:09 pm - Boa constrictor & Journal Poll
Today is the fourth anniversary of my site, Boa constrictor. I feel kind of melancholy. HP series is finished, everybody's leaving LJ... It's the end of an era.
I'm feeling lost, so I decided to post a poll.
You can choose just one option, but I'm willing to keep TWO journals. My problem with IJ is that I CAN'T AFFORD A PAID ACCOUNT, so I won't be able to friend more than 250 people [ETA: Oh my God, I wasn't fishing for it, I promise, but a lovely and anonymous friend has just given me a permanently InsaneJournal account. I can't believe you. I'm very moved, but... I'm very confused, too! Thank you, friend, anyway. I'll go on with the poll, and then I'll make a decision, but that surely can change things.] (I have more than 500 friends on LJ, including the comms). As for JF, I won't even consider the possibility. I have my reasons.
Another problem is that if I ever decide to write underage fics, or rec underage fics or fanarts, I won't do it on LJ.

09:20 am - To those who are leaving LJ
I just would like you to know that, although GJ is now my main journal, and although I'm crossposting everything to GJ and LJ, I will not back-up my old LJ posts, so if you defriend me on LJ, you won't be able to read my f-locked posts.
I won't back-up my LJ because:
1) I post a lot, and I have many filtered posts. I don't want these filtered posts to be messed-up;
2) I think the comments are the best part of my posts. Seriously. I'm not an essayist in fandom (in RL I am, sometimes). What I most like to do is to ask questions and read my friends' comments. If I can't have the comments, there's no point in backing up.

1) What happened to the After Class Yahoo Group? Don't tell me Yahoo deleted it. I'd be furious. snapetoy? nimori? magic_helmet?

2) Speaking of Yahoo, I had to put Snapesmut on moderated mode because of that stupid hoax that those who belong to a Yahoo group and who don't post regularly will have their account deleted. All the lurkers decided to send emails saying "I don't want to be deleted!111!" *headdesks*
3) I'm disappointed because twocorpses backpedalled again and decided to make Scribblit 18+. I understand her concerns, but in this case I would rather wait for another project.

08:41 am - Reading and Posting Decisions
My classes will start tomorrow and I'll start working on "something" today, so my Internet time will be limited.
So I have decided that, from now on:
1) I will x-post ONLY to GJ and LJ;
2) My main reading journal will be GJ;
3) I may friend you back, but I will not read or post either on IJ or JF;
4) I will use reading filters on LJ.
Who will be on my LJ reading filters:
1) Only those who don't post on GJ (if you post different things on GJ and LJ, please let me know, so that I can decide what to do);
2) People I love;
3) People who interact with me on a regular basis;
4) People whose posts I like to read and who share interests with me, especially HP fandom.
These policies are temporary. I'm waiting for Scribblit to be up and running.
